I'm gonna' use another picture to talk about, as I usually do. But this time, the picture will be somewhat different. Of course, it's still going to be an animal.

Not every animal sketch has to be realistic. Plenty of animals that are drawn are cartoons. Any drawing can look good as long as the person creating it actually cares enough to want it to look good. Let's be honest, sometimes a detailed drawing of a cartoon can look better than its real life counterpart. You just try to say that that snake doesn't look good. And kind of creepy. Just look at those eyes. Maybe that's why people say to never trust a snake.

After creating this post, I've come to the realization that many of these posts are going to become repetitious. I think I used that word right. What I mean is that this blog is probably going to be the same post over and over again. Oh well, topic's been chosen, and I'm sticking with it. Picture time!

This guy, or gal, did an incredible job! The lighting is well done, and the scales are greatly drawn. An awesome website to find cool stuff is deviantart. You can find amazing work by amazing artists all over deviantart. This is just one of many pieces of work by this artist.

       Isn't it adorable? And awesomely done of course. I don't know how much time the drawer put into this little critter, but it honestly looks like a quick sketch they did because they felt like using a pencil. Of course I couldn't honestly tell you without knowing more, but it's absolutely impressive.

       Okay, so this will be the first time I've ever blogged or done anything in the field aside from Facebook. I started this blog for a class of mine, so I'm gonna' have to wing it. What's this blog going to be about? Read the title. I love art, more specifically drawing and sketching, and my favorite thing to draw is animals. If you search animal sketches through something like google images, you'll find incredible work by unnamed artists. Such incredible work plus the need for a topic to talk about led here. I am hopeful that I can bring some interesting... thoughts for you to consider. First post: check.
